Terms of Service
Last updated: February 15, 2026
Hey! Thanks for using Neighbora. These terms are a contract between you and us, so please read through them. We’ve tried to keep them straightforward.
Neighbora is operated by Menel Systems, LLC, doing business as MENEL. When we say “we,” “us,” or “Neighbora,” that’s who we mean. When we say “you,” we mean you, the person using the platform.
By signing up or using Neighbora, you’re agreeing to these terms. If they don’t work for you, that’s okay — but please don’t use the service.
Who can use Neighbora
You need to be at least 18 years old. By using Neighbora, you’re telling us that you are.
Your account
Keep your login info secure. You’re responsible for everything that happens under your account, so don’t share your password. Make sure the info on your profile is accurate and up to date — we may suspend accounts with clearly false information.
What Neighbora is
Neighbora helps apartment community residents find and offer services to their neighbors. We connect people, but we’re not part of any deal or arrangement you make with another user. Think of us as the bulletin board, not the handyman.
How we expect you to behave
Pretty simple — be a good neighbor. That means:
- Don’t do anything illegal through the platform.
- Don’t post fake or misleading service listings.
- Don’t harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
- Don’t try to break into other people’s accounts or our systems.
- Don’t use bots or scrapers on the platform without asking us first.
- Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not.
Your content
Anything you post — listings, profile info, messages — stays yours. But by posting it on Neighbora, you’re giving us permission to display it on the platform. We won’t use your content for anything else.
You’re responsible for what you post. Make sure you have the right to share it and that it doesn’t step on anyone else’s rights.
Service listings
If you list a service, you’re on the hook for making sure it’s accurate, legal, and properly licensed (if that applies to your line of work). We don’t vet, endorse, or guarantee any listing or service provider.
Marketplace disclaimer
Neighbora is a platform that facilitates connections between community residents. Neither Neighbora, Menel Systems, LLC, your property management company, nor your building ownership endorses, verifies, or assumes any responsibility for services listed on the platform.
All arrangements, transactions, and agreements for services are made directly between residents. You acknowledge that Neighbora, your property management, and your building bear no liability for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any service rendered or received through the platform. Use your best judgment and exercise due diligence when engaging with any service provider or recipient.
Any property damage that occurs during a service arranged through Neighbora is the responsibility of the parties involved — not Neighbora, your property management company, or your building ownership. Standard renters insurance and building liability policies typically cover these situations.
Insurance
We encourage service providers to carry appropriate liability coverage for the services they offer. If you have renters insurance, it likely already covers most neighbor-to-neighbor interactions. If you’re offering professional services, make sure you have proper coverage for your work.
Neighbora does not verify, require, or provide insurance for any user or service listed on the platform.
Certain services need extra care
Some services — like medical care, legal advice, childcare, electrical work, and licensed trades — come with higher stakes and often require proper licensing and insurance.
If you’re offering these kinds of services, it’s your responsibility to hold the right licenses and carry appropriate coverage. If you’re hiring someone for this type of work, ask to see their credentials. Neighbora does not verify professional licensing.
Pricing
Neighbora is free right now. If that ever changes, we’ll give you a heads-up before any fees kick in, and you can always cancel.
Payments between residents
Neighbora does not process, facilitate, or touch payments in any way. Any financial transactions are strictly between residents — we have no visibility into or responsibility for them. We recommend agreeing on terms and expectations before any work begins.
Our stuff
The Neighbora platform itself — the design, code, brand, all of it — belongs to Menel Systems, LLC. Please don’t copy, resell, or redistribute it.
Privacy
We take your data seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. By using Neighbora, you’re agreeing to that policy too.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Neighbora running smoothly, but we can’t promise it’ll be perfect 100% of the time. The platform is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee uptime, and things might break occasionally.
More importantly: we don’t screen or verify users or their listings. When you work with another user, that’s between you and them. Use your best judgment.
Limits on our liability
If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us (which, right now, is nothing). We’re not on the hook for indirect damages, lost profits, lost data, or anything like that. We know this section feels very “lawyer,” but it’s a necessary part of running a platform.
You have our back
If something you do on Neighbora causes legal trouble for us — like posting content you don’t have the right to, or breaking these terms — you agree to cover our costs, including legal fees. Basically: don’t get us in trouble and we won’t have to worry about this section.
Disputes between residents
If a disagreement comes up between you and another resident, we encourage you to work it out directly first. Your building management may also be able to help mediate.
You can always reach out to us at [email protected], but we’re not arbitrators — we can help with platform-related issues, not resolve disagreements about services between residents.
Closing accounts
If you want to delete your account, send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll take care of it within 7 days. We can also suspend or close accounts on our end if needed. When an account is closed, we may delete the associated data, though we might keep some information if the law requires it.
Legal details
These terms are governed by Colorado law. If we end up in a legal dispute, it’ll be handled in the courts in Travis County, Texas. We’d prefer to work things out informally first, though — if you have an issue, reach out to us and we’ll try to sort it out within 30 days before anyone involves lawyers.
Changes
We might update these terms occasionally. If we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the date at the top and post the new version here. Continuing to use Neighbora after a change means you’re cool with the updated terms.
The fine print
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. These terms (plus the Privacy Policy) are the whole agreement between us — nothing else overrides them.
